RESIDENTS TO VOTE ON NEW HOTEL

In June, residents of Elizabeth City will be polled whether they approve the using of public funds for a new downtown hotel and convention center. By recommendation from the state Department of Elections, the Ticonderoga County Election Commission voted to put the referendum on the ballot, where only city residents will be able to vote. Burnett and closer Mariano Rivera throttled the Philadelphia Phillies 3-1, tying the World Series 1-1. The Yankees, scoring four runs in two games at Yankee Stadium, hope their offense can be rejuvenated when the Series moves to Philadelphia for three games beginning Saturday at Citizens Bank Park.
